Changing Routes

Yesterday was my last day taking the same route I've traveled for the last two and a half years! Starting Monday, I will be riding the train north just as they start their new schedule. At least the full (blue) moon will have passed by then. Traveling with traffic (more people travel north than south in my area) will result in a better train schedule – with a lot more people. The express trains that I will now have access should save me a lot of commuting time. That in itself is exciting to the regular train rider. I also banked a few extra dollars in my commuter program to help pay for my new pass until the new employer’s program picks me up. Actually, if you have access to a debit card commuter program, it may worth considering banking a few extra dollars in there just in case you have a change a route. Just be aware there may be expiration dates on the dollars banked.

What is the Stupid Train Run?

Regular commuters will know it as we've all done it from time to time. Running late just enough that if you sprint, you'll catch that train, but wait... Those leather, hard-soled shoes are from cross-trainers. Suite pants are not suitable running attire either. Don't forget the briefcases and lunch bags waiting you down. So the result is this goofy looking run. Oh, and there are bunch of people watching you too. But like I said, it all happens to us at one time or another.
