Train Station Photograph

Dogs and Big Guns

It's not everyday that I walk up to my train station only to see a bunch of big "government issue" type cars, state police cars, dogs and guys with very big guns. Before I saw the officers, I was already thinking something was up because of all the cars parked in the fire lane. Isn't that ironic or something?

It's a little early to see that stuff before the sun comes up. The station was just crawling with officers and I'm fairly sure it was routine thing. They were just walking around, hanging around checking things out. I didn't think it was appropriate to strike up a conversation with them. It's definitely enough to wake you up without caffeine.

What is the Stupid Train Run?

Regular commuters will know it as we've all done it from time to time. Running late just enough that if you sprint, you'll catch that train, but wait... Those leather, hard-soled shoes are from cross-trainers. Suite pants are not suitable running attire either. Don't forget the briefcases and lunch bags waiting you down. So the result is this goofy looking run. Oh, and there are bunch of people watching you too. But like I said, it all happens to us at one time or another.
