Interested in some of the technical details that it took to put together Stupid Train Run?

The Design

The train station photo was found at stock.xchng. The photograph inspired the color schema for the logo and website. The layout was created in Adobe Photoshop and HTML using Adobe Dreamweaver. The page templates were coded using both Dreamweaver and Homesite.

The Stupid Train Run logo was created using Trebechet. The body text is in Georgia and headers in Arial.

The web pages were coded using HTML 4.0 Strict and CSS.

Publishing

Stupid Train Run is published using Movable Type. It is divided into three differnt blogs: the tips blog, stories blog and archived stories blog. This was done to accomidate different organization requirements for each type.

What is the Stupid Train Run?

Regular commuters will know it as we've all done it from time to time. Running late just enough that if you sprint, you'll catch that train, but wait... Those leather, hard-soled shoes are from cross-trainers. Suite pants are not suitable running attire either. Don't forget the briefcases and lunch bags waiting you down. So the result is this goofy looking run. Oh, and there are bunch of people watching you too. But like I said, it all happens to us at one time or another.
